RMS TITANIC
"The Ship of Dreams"
April 10 – 15, 1912The RMS Titanic was the largest ocean liner in service at the time of her maiden voyage. Built by Harland and Wolff in Belfast, she was designed to be the pinnacle of luxury, comfort, and safety — deemed "practically unsinkable" by the press.
On the night of April 14, 1912, four days into her crossing from Southampton to New York City, she struck an iceberg. In less than three hours, the Titanic sank, resulting in one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history.
